Parking regulations in Zurich are very strict. Whoever doesn't stick to the rules can expect a parking fine of CHF 40 or more. Parking is generally permitted only on marked parking places.
We recommend parking in one of the 10 park-houses in Zurich City. Signalization boards at traffic hubs show the number of vacant parking places and the way to the park-houses. Alternatively there are parking places with parking meters for short stays (white zone). These are limited from 30 minutes to 2 – 4 hours (with exceptions).
Parking cards for inhabitants and parking in blue zones, as well as special parking permissions are obtainable at parkkarten.ch. Parking times are generally coordinated with business opening hours and displayed on the parking meter.
The SBB’s P+Rail service allows you to park your car at train stations in specially designated parking spaces and then from there to take the train for your onward journey. In the so-called "Blue Zone" you can park for free for one hour. Plus the half hour already started. Vehicles may be parked in the Blue Zone for one hour on weekdays and Saturdays between 08:00 and 11:30 and between 13:30 and 18:00. On Sundays and public holidays no parking disc is required.
Use any of the 7 pay stations for quick and convenient payment. The stations accept Swiss francs, euros, Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Maestro (EC), Postcard and Manor MyOne cards.

The best way to get around Zurich is on foot or by bike. If your feet need a break, you can take the city's efficient tram system. From Zurich Airport (ZRH), you can also take a train for 6 miles (around 20 minutes) into Zurich.
Are trams in Zurich free? No. You need to buy a ticket to user them. There are short distance tickets, whole city tickets and 24 hour passes that you can buy at any team so our by app on your phone.
Changing flights at Zürich is easy and straightforward, with short routes between its three terminals. Terminals A and B/D are located under one roof and connected by the Airside Center shopping/dining complex. Passengers can walk between gates and there are also moving walkways.
Zurich is the perfect place for walking. Many footpaths and trails lead along the rivers and the lake, through industrial quarters or the Old Town, up to places with a view, or right through the city center yet still far away from traffic or noise.
